Name is Erick, 22 years old and currently reside in Canada. Born in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador I have always had a deep passion for football, in particular Madrid.
My interest for football began in 1994 at the age of 5! The beginning of the Raul era which is what turned me to love Madrid, Fernando Rendondo's midfield majesty, the beloved Fernando Hierro, Davor Suker's goal in the '98 final against Juventus that gave us "La Septima", Roberto Carlos signing, Raul's "Silence the Camp Nou" goal in the Clasico in Barcelona, The 2000 final against Valencia where we claimed our 8th European title, the first Galactico era and Florentino Perez, the signing of Figo, FIFA Best Club of the Century award, Zidane's inspiring volley in the '02 Final against Leverkusen and Casillas undeniable talent giving us our 9th and final-to-date European cup, the signing of Il Fenomeno Ronaldo and Beckham, the 0 - 3 defeat at the hands of Barcelona in Madrid where Ronaldinho showed the world why he was so greatly acclaimed, stealing the title from FCB on the last matchday of the 06-07 season, the champions walkway given by Barcelona in the 07-08 season, the rise of Barcelona and Messi, the second Galactico era and return of Perez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka', Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil, the end of the Raul era, the 6 consecutive round of 16 Champions League eliminations, the 5 consecutive clasico defeat including the 2 - 6 and 5 - 0.
Every true fan lives the good and bad moments, while you may argue otherwise in my eyes this is the greatest club in the world and the true king of football, through this blog I will express my personal opinions on mainly, but not only, Real Madrid as well as other games and teams; I happen to enjoy the NBA as well, big Lakers fan as well as Toronto Raptors (gotta support the locals right?).
